Here goes the second dish of the menu, the onion soup.

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 3 big onions
  • 3 table spoons of olive oil
  • 2 table spoons of flour
  • 2 glass of water
  • 1 vegetable bouillon cube
  • salt
  • pepper


Slice the onions.

In a saucepan heat the oil, add your sliced onions, close with a lid and leave for 15 minutes. Meanwhile prepare bouillon. After 15 minutes when the onion is goldish and there is some onion juice in the saucepan add the flour, stirring continuously. Leave it for 3-4 minutes, then pour the bouillon. The soup should be left boiling for about 1,5 hours. While waiting you can dice some white bread and bake it in the oven.

A couple of minutes before taking the soup off the fire add salt and pepper. Then pour it into the plates, add dried crust from the oven and garnish with a sprig of parsley.
